Services to the Street Kicks Off with Spool Fabric

On Wednesday (12/9) representatives from Team Tusick and Work Hard PGH met with Michelle and Jennifer of Spool, LLC as part of Pittsburgh Tall’s Services to the Street program. This meeting took place to identify the services necessary to help Spool to better optimize their marketing strategy while simultaneously scaling their revenue.

Located in at 816 East Warrington Avenue in Allentown, Spool supplies a curated selection of fabrics, notions and patterns.  Additionally, Spool also offers regular and seasonal classes in their sewing studio.

Venturing inside Spool, one encounters a light and sophisticated decor with ornate yet modern chandeliers complimenting exposed brick walls that harken to the store’s past. For those unable to visit the store, Spool extends their offerings of specialty patterns through an extensive e-commerce platform.

The team identified several service needs within their online store, including opportunities to optimize their online search results, online advertising, and better recruitment of customers to attend their weekly and seasonal classes. During the year, the team will work with Michelle and Jennifer to develop buildout of these services to reflect the both the products and history of the pharmacy.
